Status of Podcast

July 19th, 2013

Hello Fellow Steamsters,

I realize it has been a while since I have had a podcast here. Lately I have been working on a Steampunk novella which I hope will be available around Christmas 2013.

Today I’m coming asking for your help. My main computer which I use to do the audio editing has decided to become one with the ether. The help I’m asking for is via a fundraiser to help get my next computer.

If your interested in helping please check out http://www.chrisamoody.com/computer-fundraiser/

Thanks,

Chris

SteamPod 2.0: Episode 10: Age of Aether

July 29th, 2012

Tonight we are proud to have on the show Mark Jeffery of Max Quick fame. Tonight he is here to talk about his first Steampunk novella Age of Aether.

After this chat I did spend a week reading it, and I can honestly say this is a very good novella, if you want to introduce someone to the world of Steampunk with out being lost in all of the gadgets, this would be a very good primer for them.

BitStrips

May 12th, 2012

Our good friend Thomas Reed has asked us to help make one of his BitStrips up the popularity chart. From his blog entry:

MTV has/had a bitstrip account. They no longer use it. They do, however, have the top nine viewed Pop Culture bitstrips on Bitstrips.com. One of mine is number 11. I would like to replace MTV in the number one spot. To do this, I need your help. I have posted the link to that bistrip of mine. It is titled Steampunk. It is about a Steampunk podcast that Chris Moody produces. What I am requesting is that my fans post a link to my strip. Either in their blog, on their website, etc. requesting their followers/fans do the same. Please consider doing this so we can take down MTV. (Do they ever play music videos anymore?)

From http://thomasjreed.blogspot.com/2012/05/top-viewed-pop-culture-bitstrip.html

So if you liked the BitStrips he made, please help! The original one is at: http://bitstrips.com/r/QT19

SteamPod 2.0 Episode 9: O.M. Grey

April 4th, 2012

Greetings all,

Sorry for the tardiness of late. I am back now, this time with an interview that was done live at ConJour 4.0 in Clear Lake, TX. This time we are chatting with O. M. Grey aka Christine Rose. She is the author of several Steampunk works including:

Avalon RevisitedZeppelin Dreams (Short Story), among others. She was also part of Tee Morris and Phillipa Ballentine’s Tales of the Archives Volume 1 “Dust on the Davenport” which is also included in this episode in audio format.

I do apologize in advance for the noise during the recording, the air conditioner was louder than I thought.

Steampod 2.0 Episode 6: Various Items

August 13th, 2011

Welcome to Episode 6. Tonight we talk about various things, including updates for previous episodes. Mainly about the Davenport sisters, and Tee and Pip. You can purchase their Audible book via Amazon by clicking here.

Music on this episode was Death of the Cog by The Cog is Dead. You can purchase their current Album : Steam Powered Stories from Amazon on Audio CD and MP3 format. The entire album is great, but personally I enjoyed this song the best.
